Description:

Key responsibilities include
  • Oversee and maintain HR/ER Policies
  • Advising and counseling operating management and employees (where appropriate) in problem solving and dispute resolution
  • Interpreting and administering national and local collective bargaining agreements, advancing the company’s interest and monitoring adherence to labor agreements.
  • Primary responder to 1 step grievance handling and resolution
  • Provide support to floor level management and Union Officials to resolve
  • Counseling and coaching employees as well as supervisors on the conduct of investigations as needed
  • Provide support to operating management on issuing attendance and policy discipline
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ labor management and employee relations experience in both union and non-union environments
  • Human Resources Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, rules and regulations
  • Very good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; must be able to make effective presentations, to negotiate, to listen, and to influence
  • Delivers to all stakeholders in a professional and approachable style
  • Self-aware and highly sensitive to key elements affecting culture and employee morale
  • High energy, passion with a strong work ethic and collaborative style
  • Customer orientation and problem solver
