The HR Manager is responsible for providing HR leadership in order to enable growth, organizational effectiveness, and team member engagement.  The position serves as a consultant to CCO and Fulfillment manufacturing leaders as well as a partner to team members. HR Managers maintain and develop effective internal procedures, handle employee related issues, support recruiting and retention efforts, and facilitate morale performance at peak levels.  The HR manager must understand business practices and processes and continuously improve their level of business literacy regarding the company’s operations, finances, mid-range, and long-term plans as well as our culture and competitive environment. What We Offer:Bi-weekly salary plus generous annual performance bonus.Premium medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance plans.3-weeks paid time off in addition to sick days, paid standard holidays and 3 floating holidays.401K retirement plan with generous company matching and 100% vesting in 3-years.Generous team member discount on custom space installations.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processesAssist with recruitment efforts, and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programsMaintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employment law, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department as needed/required.Proactively prevent and actively manage team member (employee) relations issues, including fair and consistent application of policies and disciplinary actionsConduct thorough and effective investigations and documented corrective action plans as needed, handling confidential matters with discretion.Provide consultation and guidance for managers and team members on company policies and processesIdentify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and moraleSupport departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business directionPlan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee related issues, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisorsChampion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall visionPartner with business leaders to identify talent needs and develop recruiting and workforce staffing plansAssess training & development needs for teams and individuals.  Partner with Education & Skill Dev team to suggest training & development solutionsAssist with coordination of required annual compliance training (Harassment, Security, other)Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planningCoach team members and leaders in the behaviors expected to support strategy and our Cal Closets CREDO/DRIP
