IT Infrastructure Analyst / Engineer

Contract role with prospects of converting to Direct HireSeeking Seasoned Datacenter / Infrastructure Analyst to support mission critical enterprise operations. Skills Sets required include:

VMWare ESX

  • Required: 5+ years of experience configuring, upgrading, migrating and building new vSphere ESX environments. Experience configuring server templates. This includes configuring redundant network and fiber channel paths.

  • Preferred: VCP certifications (VCP-DCV).

  • Preferred: Horizon View Knowledge

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

  • Required: 5+ years of experience monitoring server environments for full stack [virtual machine, server, storage, network (fiber/san)] performance issues and making improvements to improve performance.

Fiber Channel Zoning experience

  • Required: 3+ years of fiber channel zoning experience including the ability to create new zones and modify existing zones.

  • Preferred: HPE 3PAR storage administration experience

Fiber Channel Storage array management configuration

  • Required: 5+ years of managing Fiber Channel Storage Arrays including provisioning new storage to hosts, managing capacity, managing upgrades.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of HPE 3PAR storage arrays.

Networking

  • Required: 5+ years of basic networking knowledge including provisioning VLANs to ports, enabling/disabling ports, and basic networking (TCP/IP) knowledge.

  • Desired: Basic firewall knowledge including the ability to configure site to site VPNs and add/modify firewall rules. Knowledge of wireless systems (Aruba preferred).

Security

  • Required: Basic knowledge of security best practices and familiarity with antivirus, antimalware solutions.

Windows Administration

  • Required: 10+ years of basic windows system administration knowledge including active directory, group policy, and file sharing.

  • Preferred: Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certifications

Certificate Services (PKI)

  • Required: Basic knowledge of certificate services including creating and installing both public and private (AD Certificate Services) certificates.

Systems Monitoring

  • Required: Experience with systems monitoring systems

  • Preferred: Experience configuring and managing Solarwinds
