The Design Release Engineer (DRE) is responsible for the complete engineering and development lifecycle of Console and Door systems. This includes end-to-end ownership—from concept and design through validation, launch, and production release—ensuring that all components meet vehicle functional, quality, cost, and timing objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, validation, and release of Console and Door system components.Ensure components meet all vehicle functional, quality, and performance requirements.Manage component packaging, interface requirements, and system integration.Develop and maintain the Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) and oversee all validation testing.Handle change management, Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, and document control throughout the product lifecycle.Provide prototype and production build support, promptly addressing and resolving issues.Support vehicle assembly plants with technical issue resolution during launch and production phases.Collaborate with service and warranty teams to investigate field issues and perform root cause analysis.Manage CAD models and ensure compliance with Teamcenter and internal engineering standards.Drive weight reduction, cost optimization, and efficiency improvement initiatives.Prepare and present technical status updates and reports to management and cross-functional teams.
