- Partners with project sponsors, project teams and other project managers to help evaluate technical and business requirements and to develop and implement approaches and solution alternatives
- Integrates inputs and schedules from multiple sources to create a cohesive plan with an identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the agreed project plans and schedules ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters
- Adapts project plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout projects, to respond to emerging requirements and risks
- Communicates overall project status including milestones, adherence to project deadlines, and relevant risks to teams, stakeholders, and management
- Develops project charter/scope document and manages the programs or projects and their life cycles through the creation, collection, and maintenance of project documentation, and in accordance with standards established by the Program Management Office (PMO)
- Identifies and estimates project scope and deliverables
- Holds team members accountable, sets clear performance standards, resolves performance issues, and keeps technical teams engaged and on task
- Develop and manage IT Budgets for each project
- Successfully manage all IT vendors and internal resources throughout the project that help design, build, and deploy the IT infrastructure to a Greenfield facility. This includes network equipment, server room (MDF), IDF’s, low voltage cabling, (e.g., data drops, security cameras, access controls), ‘rack and stack’ (MDF) and IDF equipment installation and turn-up, SD-WAN, internet circuits, VoIP/telephony, overhead paging, etc.
- In lieu of project risk management, ensures detail plans are created for any necessary implementation rollbacks from an infrastructure perspective as required.
- University degree in Information Technology, or business administration and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience as project manager with IT Infrastructure projects
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Hands-on experience with a variety of project delivery methodologies
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services
- Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies, and policies
- PMI or PMP certification is a strong plus
- Utilize knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies
- Deliver on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) while working on multiple projects concurrently.
- Comfortable relating openly, honestly, and consistently with diverse groups of people
- Act decisively for improvement in both projects and in the organization including addressing urgent, time sensitive, or crisis issues
- Use leadership skills to align project and department goals with the organization's and sponsor's goals
