We offer a comprehensive range of vehicle inspection services to verify the condition of new, off-lease and fleet vehicles and other properties at vehicle assembly plants, rail yards, ports, customers’ homes, dealers and auctions.

Due to its success and excellent service, AiM is rapidly growing, and its Information Technology Division now seeks a full-time employee to perform the job duties of an IT Solutions Architect.

The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with multiple levels of the AiM organization. The role requires a detailed oriented individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys multi-tasking. AiM offers an exciting work environment that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit and outside the box thinking. This role is temporarily remote due to the pandemic

Essential Job Functions:
  • Architect and design core business applications, services and integrations

  • Drive strategy and road map exercises, architecture definition, product/service selection, application and integration design

  • Participate and provide technical leadership in all phases of a project from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery

  • Work closely and share ideas with fellow Architects, Developers, and IT Product Managers

  • Regular and consistent attendance and availability

  • Special Projects

  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Has no supervisory responsibility, provides basic work direction usually one-on-one.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

    Job Knowledge and Skill

    :
    • Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans

    • Experience with mobile application development

    • Experience architecting cloud (AWS) native systems

    • Knowledge of various business domains (preferably the automotive industry)

    • Knowledge of enterprise architecture design and integration patterns and proficient ability to apply them

    • Advanced knowledge writing system and solution architecture documentation

    • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new business domains and technologies

    • Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely

    • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, SAFe) and cross-functional teams (Business Owners, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts, Quality Analysts) preferred
    • Current or prior hands-on experience with modern web application, enterprise application, and mobile application development platforms (ex: Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python), integrations, data and reporting

    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize day-to-day responsibilities

    • Detail oriented, highly focused and very organized

    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm

    • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
    Experience

    :At least 5 years of hands-on experience in architecture, design and development of enterprise applications and integrations;

    Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations

    :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related is required

    Computer Skills:Working knowledge of power point, word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, ability to adapt to new technology as it becomes available.

    Communication Skills

    :Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    Analytical Skills:Strong analytical skills required with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to source, disseminate and properly apply secondary research.

    Travel

    : Light to no overnight travel.

    Compensation:

    Salaried/exempt – TBD upon hiring,

    No relocation will be paid Benefits including medical, dental, vision, LTD, life insurance and 401 K participation.
