Job Title: Journeyman ElectricianJob DescriptionThe Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for quality electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within commercial and industrial settings. Safety is paramount, and following all safety guidelines on project sites is required. The candidate will work on Commercial and Industrial New Construction sites throughout West Michigan. They will handle electrical systems in compliance with NEC, conduit systems, lighting systems, and control systems. Working with motors, motor connections, cables, and various wires is also expected.Hard Skills

Journeyman Electrician State of Michigan License

Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)

Installs conduit systems of all sizes (1/2, 3/4, 1 and up to 4 inches), various lighting systems, and basic control systems

Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections

Performs wire and cable pulls

4+ years of Industrial or Commercial experience

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.Work EnvironmentWork is performed primarily in indoor and outdoor settings with regular exposure to cold, heat, direct sunlight, dirt, hazardous electrical/specialty systems equipment and wiring, and underground and elevated heights. Duties also include stooping, stretching, digging, trenching, excavating, and moving and installing heavy electrical and specialty systems equipment. Shift: 6am/7am - 3:30pm M-F; rare Saturday or 3rd shift work depending on projects. PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Hi Vis Shirt or Vest, Gloves, Safety Boots. OT: 5-10 hours.
