Combine your comprehension of software and applications programming and industry requirements with your experience formulating and defining systems scope and objectives in this Programmer Analyst position from Robert Half. You would provide guidance on developing or altering applications or databases, employing research and fact-finding techniques. This is a long-term contract / temporary Programmer Analyst role based in Lansing, Michigan. Apply today.Major responsibilities- Evaluates processing procedures and suggests ways to improve- Provides continuing support for end users and other partner groups through continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process- Analyzes user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Creates documents of functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Suggests how, when and whether to proceed with the changes- Serves as the in-house guide for internal clients experiencing programming problems, consulting on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting the issues. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education- Builds dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and ensures they are up to date- Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met- Collaborates on establishing communication materials for specific system changes being implemented in production- Reviews and documents code problems, working with other programmers to correct them Requirements - Excellent oral and written communications skills- Command of PC and mainframe hardware/software- Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques- Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements- Proficiency in programming languages- ASP.NET experience highly preferred- Earlier work involving Application Support- Communication Skills experience preferred- General familiarity with agreements- Customer service experience- Practical knowledge of dynamics- Troubleshoot experience- Background working with Microsoft Teams- Previous experience working with Local Candidates- Adeptness in video- Good understanding of HTTPS- Demonstrated knowledge of Submission- Expertise in About Time- HTML experience Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
