Ability to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relations

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of care and current clinical practice, treatments, and interventions, specific to position specialty

Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies, and procedures

Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals

Resolve patient’s problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies

EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:· Maintains a record of all training and/or education provided in each employee file maintained at MVH.· Prepare, schedule and provide educational programs to respond to identified needs.· Conduct classes as necessary.· Maintain documentation which analyzes attendance at programs.· Maintain records of in-service content.· Provide orientation to all new employees.· Evaluate all new employees after orientation using MVH Skills Competency Documentation Form. Competency must be met in each area before employee is given a member care assignment.· Initiate and maintain effective communication with MVH Licensed Nurses to ensure that all issues and concerns are resolved satisfactorily.· Ensure that each CENA working at MVH has current CENA Certification and maintains copy in each employee file in the secure area provided by MVH.· Provides a report of all new employees to the MVH Staff Development Nurse on a weekly basis to ensure that all new staff has access to MVH Relias Learning System.· Works individually with each employee that has been identified as requiring additional training and/or education by MVH Licensed Nurses.· Works with MVH Staff Development Nurse to ensure that all in-service training is disseminated to all contract employees.· Request feedback regarding quality and relevance of each program from participants and use this feedback to improve presentations.· Use information feedback mechanisms to evaluate teaching/learning effectiveness of programs.· Assure that teaching methodologies and materials are appropriate to the topic presented and to the audience targeted.· Monitor performance of new employees during the orientation period.· Collaborate with MVH staff to coordinate overlapping educational needs/priorities.· Participate in meetings and other relevant activities to identify and respond to training needs.· Ability to push/pull/lift a minimum of 50 pounds#CR23Other Info
