Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Analyst in Okemos, Michigan. The role will be in the office and will require a strong focus on logistics, rate management, and freight management. The successful candidate will be integral in supporting a new role and should possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel.Responsibilities: Conduct detailed logistics analysis to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor rate management activities to ensure they align with company objectives. Handle freight management tasks, ensuring all goods reach their destinations on time. Use MS Excel to organize data, create reports, and present findings. Support the implementation of new roles within the organization, assisting with process development and training. Utilize analytical skills to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions. Collaborate with team members to streamline logistics operations. Maintain constant communication with all relevant departments to ensure smooth operations. Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions. Stay updated on industry trends and implement new strategies as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Proven experience in a logistics analyst role or similar Proficiency in MS Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of logistics procedures and systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Knowledge of data analysis and reporting Familiarity with logistics software or transport management systems is a plus Ability to handle stress and remain calm in challenging situations.
