Maintenance Technician – Full-Time (Property Management Company)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. A professional demeanor, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across our managed properties. Duties include diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, performing routine repairs, and ensuring timely and high-quality work completion. This position also involves responding to emergency maintenance calls as part of a shared on-call rotation, which includes some nights and weekends. Clear communication with tenants, coworkers, and management through our property management software, email, and phone is expected.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in property or building maintenance and a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems. The ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize work, and make sound decisions independently is required. A positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for both coworkers and tenants are key qualities for this role. Applicants must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license (a company vehicle may be provided), and be able to pass a background check.

Schedule and Benefits:

This is a full-time position offering 40 or more hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, and a supportive team environment. The Maintenance Technician will also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
