Manager, Accounting Analytics & Reporting Main Office (MOS) OVERVIEWThe Manager, Analytics & Reporting (Property Accounting) is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, conducting variance analysis, and streamlining month-end close processes through critical thinking and advanced data insights and analytics. The role focuses on developing and implementing data-driven strategies to optimize financial reporting processes, variance analysis, and bank reconciliations. This position supports new initiatives to enhance customer service to operations and leverages technologies and best practices to generate efficiencies.JOB DUTIES

Develops and implements automated workflows to streamline month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Utilizes data analytics techniques to identify and address bottlenecks, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement.

Collaborates with accounting teams to improve reconciliation processes, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

Identifies opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains in property accounting processes.

Develops and implements automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and integrate accounting systems with operational processes.

Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.

Ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls, and support audit processes.

Designs and creates interactive dashboards and reports to visualize department performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.

Develops standardized reporting templates and automates report generation to improve efficiency.

Provides training and guidance to operations staff on accounting policies, procedures, and systems, and resolve accounting-related issues.

Builds strong relationships with operations teams and acts as a liaison between accounting and operations, and provides financial insights and support.

Conducts in-depth variance analysis by comparing actual financial results to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.

Leads bank reconciliation processes, implements automated solutions for reconciliation and cash flow forecasting, and assists in project accounting activities to optimize cost control and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (Required)

Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (Preferred)

2 years supervisory experience

5 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, or data analytics in real estate or financial industry

3 years public accounting experience

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)

Ability to maintain good working relationships both inside and outside the company

Strong critical thinking and understanding of accounting principles, month-end close processes, variance analysis, and bank reconciliations

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Proven track record of process improvement initiatives and project management skills

Proficiency in data analytics & data mining tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Knime, Alteryx, or similar platforms for data manipulation and visualization

Strong organizational skills
