  • Collaborate with Plant Teams to drive best practices and plant goals into our standards and production processes.
  • Maintain process integrity by developing and updating procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Drive change management process to capture all changes and evaluate cost impacts.
  • Interface with customer to define change requirements and obtain needed inputs to execute customer driven changes successfully.
  • Lead continuous improvement actives for elimination of waste, scrap/rework reduction, direct labor reduction, quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Quality Team to develop PFMEA and Control Plan as an input to our process development to ensure a robust manufacturing system is delivered.
  • Promote health and safety from process develop through the end of the program. Complete all ergonomic assessments within process development and equipment design.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience: 3+ years in JIT manufacturing engineering

TRAVEL

:

  • Travel Required: 30% of the time

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, JIT assembly, sequence operations and elimination of waste in automotive assembly applications.
  • Understanding of tooling, equipment, automation, and OEM engineering specifications.
  • High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
  • Proficient with process diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • General knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members - manufacturing, engineering, management and other functional groups.
  • Working knowledge of IATF engineering requirements.
  • High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, TimerPro, and AutoCAD.
