The Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the discipline and managing the discipline budget on small to medium projects of limited complexity. They will coordinate with internal and external architects and engineers, as well as client, construction manager, subcontractor, and vendor interfaces. They will possess the demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities and direct the work of others. They may work independently or at the direction of the Lead Engineer or Project Manager. Additionally, they will be Expected to act as the Engineer-of-Record for small projects where functioning in a Lead Mechanical Engineer role.
 How will I contribute?The Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer and Group Leader, and will have the opportunity to provide Mentorship to Entry-Level Mechanical Engineers. What an exciting opportunity to support the development of HVAC, plant and clean utility, plumbing, and compressed gas system philosophies. You will develop project documents (e.g. calculations, reports and construction drawings and specifications, etc) for clients, according to regulatory and industry standards. Additionally, you will work with other disciplines and support that all system designs are fully coordinated from conception through completion.Interface with client and external partnersPlan and direct work and manage a project budget from a mechanical design perspective on small projects of limited complexitySupport proposal development under the supervision of a lead or senior engineerIdentify basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveysDevelop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity and with little oversightAbility to lead squad check and discipline check for small projects of intermediate complexity and drive overall project qualityLead intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from Lead or Senior Engineer
