What’s Required:

Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan

BSN Required

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, 2 years in the specialty area preferred.

Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Manager/Director of the specialty unit, provides clinical and supervisory support to staff. Coordinates day to day operations of the unit.

Works collaboratively and effectively with all members of the specialty team, including care providers and staff and is a liaison with other departments/units within the hospital.

Physical Efforts: Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing /walking. Must be able to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, sitting, squat, stand, twist and walk 100% of the time. Must be able to hear speech, distinguish sounds and speak. Must have near vision, far vision, and depth perception and be able to distinguish colors. Must be able to lift objects weighing 35 pounds. OSHA category I hazards include risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens, unpleasant elements and unpredictable situations. Subject to long or irregular hours. On-call responsibilities as determined by the need of the department.

Organizational Requirements: Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and able to articulate and demonstrate commitment to the Mission and Values of Munson Healthcare. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Organizational Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
