Rotating shift contracts (6 weeks days and 6 weeks nights) and every other weekend

Location: Grand Rapids Michigan

We are assisting our client, a Level 1 Trauma children's hospital to find a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse to fill a 3-month assignment in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This registered nurse opportunity is working nights in Pediatric ICU. The ideal candidate must have 2 years of PICU or Cardiac ICU experience. The PICU is a combined ICU and CVICU that runs ECMO and CRRT programs and has a total of 24 beds.

Responsibilities of the PICU Nurse:

• Provides age and culturally appropriate care to patient
• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient
• care plans
• Monitors patient s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective
• action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Follows continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings
• Education of the patient and family/significant other and other health care team members is provided by the Registered Nurse.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse:

• 2 years of PICU or Cardiac ICU experience - Required
• PALS and BLS - Required
• Must have strong critical thinking and process management skills.
• Michigan State registered nurse license required or compact
• Willing to work rotating shifts
• Covid Vaccinated

Compensation of the Registered Nurse:

• Salary: $93-98/hour Based on experience, benefit level and traveler status.
