Prep Chef

Family restaurant located in Commerce Twp. MI is looking to fill the position of Prep Chef.

We are looking for a driven and committed person to join our busy restaurant who enjoys working in a team environment, work independently, possess a high level of integrity and is quality driven when preparing the menu categories and daily specials. As the person in charge of preparing all menu items, soups, sauces and daily specials you must have excellent organizational skills and be able to multi task. Ensure the highest level of quality product and sanitation proccess.

We are looking for a Chef that wants to show their experience and knowledge, creativeness through their cooking in an organized kitchen environment with no supervision. Applicant must have minimum of 3 years’ experience as a kitchen chef/Sous Chef or Preparation cook in high volume full service or casual dining/quality dining restaurant. You must be able to maintain cleanliness at all times and work efficiently follow FIFO and food date practices.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff. Execution of all menu categories and specific recipes for each item including timing, quality, temperature, portion control and presentation.
