The Payments group is looking to fill a unique hybrid role for Product Analyst/Tester on the devices team. You will be joining a multi-discipline team of experienced product experts and technical resources all focused on delivering a world class solution to Tyler's diverse customer base. This position offers someone a great opportunity to hone the skills necessary to extract requirements from stakeholders, construct stories for the technical resources to develop, successfully deploy the new features at customer sites and you will be integral to the QA processes and methods to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • As a QA, you will be responsible for the quality of the products released to production, contribute to the QA efforts ensuring the quality of the deliverables, and support the release and deployment activities.
  • You will plan and execute manual and automated tests, including integration, regression, and load/performance tests. You will design and develop the required test cases, test scenarios, and test plans meeting the requirements/specifications while maximizing automation.
  • You will work closely with the developers to troubleshoot and verify fixes, track defects to resolution, and help estimate new work.
  • Research market problems: Research competing products and organizations. Conduct onsite and virtual visits to client sites. Conduct interviews with clients and prospects
  • Prioritize problems to solve: Evaluate incoming requests, requirements, and suggestions. Maintain a backlog of planned development work. Organize releases of product features. Validate priorities and plans with stakeholders.
  • Design solutions to problems: Communicate requirements as epics and stories. Consult with designers on mockups and prototypes. Consult with engineers on technical solutions. Validate designs and requirements with stakeholders.
  • Deliver solutions to the market: Guide development and testing of new features. Document features and functionality for future reference. Demonstrate and train features for stakeholders. Validate features with early adopter clients.
  • Drive adoption of solutions: Measure adoption and usage in the target market. Assist in sales demonstrations, webinars, and proposals. Advocate through marketing campaigns and community messaging. Participate in Tyler conferences and events.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with local government or state entities
  • Knowledge of payment solutions
  • Work history in a customer-facing role, preferably in gathering requirements for software development
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle, especially agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of software design principles, especially user centered design
  • Skills sets to communicate in written, verbal, and presentation formats
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, an attention to detail, time management skills and the ability manage multiple work tasks effectively
  • Ability to work well in the following ways: independently as a sole contributor, as an integrated contributor in a team setting, and as active participant in a cross functional setting.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, conferences, and Tyler offices, as needed
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, manual/automation test strategies, testing frameworks, and experience of test management and automation tools
  • Strong written and detail-oriented skills to effectively produce quality test cases and related release documentation with a high level of coverage
  • Experience with viewing and analyzing system logs using a monitoring tool, or access to the test environment
  • Hands-on experience using API testing tools such as postman, Fiddler or similar
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Azure DevOps
  • Able to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines

State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements

Salary will generally fall between $42,316 - $80,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
