IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Application Services team. We are seeking a hands-on, self-starter and team player possessing both technical and interpersonal skills. Must be flexible and able to multi-task to meet deadlines set by external agencies to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. The Project Manager will be a key contributor supporting our Application Services applications and manage a variety of projects, including request for proposals (RFP), infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements and new development, and implementation of COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations.
Tasks/Duties- Identification of the technical approach to be used on a given project and manage the system development process.
- Advocate for change and effectively communicate project value, including navigating individual viewpoints and building consensus.
- Manage scope throughout the project duration
- Manage detailed project tasks by interfacing with team members, correlating work to a Work Breakdown Structure, and ensuring team members track time appropriately to project tasks.
- Manage tasks and resources relating to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications for County Departments, where applicable.
- Potential Areas of Assignment w/duties described above: HR, Finance, Purchasing, Auditing & Fiscal; eCommerce, Legal, Records Retention & Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
- 5+ years - High level understanding in the areas of project management methodology, web application programming, document management systems, API, database, and system design
- 5+ years - Experience managing a variety of projects, including request for proposals (RFP), infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements and new development, and implementation of COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations
- 5+ years - Experience managing project tasks and resources to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications
- Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio
- Experience in Clarity (Workbench)
- Experience with Azure (DevOps)
- Experience with AWS (Cloud Migration)
- PMP Certification
