- Must be flexible and able to multi-task to meet deadlines set by external agencies to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
- Under supervision, project manager will be a key contributor supporting our Application Services applications and manage a variety of projects, including request for proposals (RFP), infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements and new development, and implementation of COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations.
- Should possess high level understanding in the areas of project management methodology, web application programming, document management systems, API, database, and system design.
- Identification of the technical approach to be used on a given project and manage the system development process.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
- Advocate for change and effectively communicate project value, including navigating individual viewpoints and building consensus.
- Manage scope throughout the project duration;
- Manage detailed project tasks by interfacing with team members, correlating work to a Work Breakdown Structure, and ensuring team members track time appropriately to project tasks.
- Manage tasks and resources relating to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications for County Departments, where applicable.
