Posting 112973 Program Manager Work Location: Lansing, MI Candidate should be willing to relocate /work from office (2days/Week). Experience: 5 - 15 Yrs Job Description: This role will oversee a large, multi-year implementation of the new (replacement) claims management system for the Unemployment Insurance Agency. The effort is funded by IT Investment Fund dollars, which requires an additional level of oversight, and has high visibility with the Legislature. Ideally, this Program Manager will have 10+ years managing major system implementations and/or modernization programs. Must be strong in vendor management and skilled in managing communications and engagement with Executive leadership (Department Director, etc). They will be actively involved with strategic planning and developing a roadmap for the effort. It would be a nice to have if they've led similar projects for insurance or claims management, but not required. Prior SOM experience is also desirable, but not required.
- 3-5+ years of IT software Project Management experience
- 2+ years Scrum Master experience with certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to drive project planning and execution process and add value beyond just a task-oriented doer or project manager
- Familiarity with systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with Governance Risk and Compliance framework
- Previous SOM experience highly desired
- Must be local to Lansing, Michigan area. Work will be 2 days per week in office and 3 days remote.
