Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Quality Assurance Senior Analyst - Corporate Applications, Development & Platform Support for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier clients in Southfield, MI. In this role, you will work with the IT team to plan and execute QA activities. The Quality Assurance team is responsible for understanding business processes, systems/applications, testing protocols, and requirements/intended functionality for new projects. Responsibilities :

  • Support in-house development teams and vendor software implementations, providing quality assurance services for projects and support issues.
  • Provide quality assurance services with a focus on validating application functionality and integrations while also validating data requirements and conversions.
  • Elicit, document, and differentiate testing and validation of business requirements, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, use cases and/or features, epics, and user stories / acceptance criteria.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test data, and test cases and execute against functional and non-functional requirements, technical designs, data mappings, and / or user stories / acceptance criteria.
  • Present test plans and test cases to project teams for completeness and correctness.
  • Cleanse, validate and map data by running database queries, joining tables, etc.
  • Partner with IT and business application support resources throughout the testing lifecycle to maximize quality test cases and expected results.
  • Report defects including steps and data necessary to reproduce and represent at bug meetings.
  • Define requirements around infrastructure, tools and user access & entitlements necessary to execute test cases.
  • Establish traceability from test cases back through business / functional requirements.
  • Collaborate on the development of testing standards, processes and tools utilized during the testing phase of software project delivery.
  • Contribute to supply management and resourcing decisions for projects and programs by providing estimates at various stages in the project delivery process.
  • Collaborate on the evaluation of vendors and the development of new system requirements in support of quality assurance functions and/or QA steps in the software testing lifecycle.
  • Perform functional testing in pre-production environments and smoke-testing to validate production installations.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing
  • Support software delivery migration from waterfall to agile methodology.
Required Skills:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems (IS) or a related field is preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in an IS-related role.
  • Minimum three (3) years of quality assurance experience, including test case planning, preparation, and execution and defect reporting and tracking.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements and data mappings into detailed test cases for new development and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Ability to self-teach application functionality supporting a broad range of business processes and by soliciting others.
  • Experience testing the integration of systems and applications, including integration solutions that utilize API, Dell Boomi and ETL technologies.
  • Experience documenting, managing, and executing test plans, test cases and test summary reports.
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data setup and test execution and validation.
  • Experience testing web applications on various browsers and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad) is a plus.
  • Experience identifying and administering required test data.
  • Experience in quality assurance operating in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Oracle ERP solutions or SAP S4/Hana solutions is a plus.
  • Membership and/or active participation in quality assurance communities, chapters, or networks.
  • Must be process and detail oriented, while also able to grasp the big picture. The ideal candidate would be a creative and innovative person with a demonstrated track record of collaboration.
  • Must be able to prioritize work, proactively communicate issues and solicit others for answers and direction.
  • Must be a polished presenter and have a good executive presence.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools and test case and defect management tools
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP (Hana), Oracle
