Description:A furniture manufacturer in West Michigan is looking for a quality engineer to support daily production issues and work hand in hand with the team to implement / develop quality standards within each product line. Company has a large variety of product so needs to be adaptable to variety of product. This individual will spend 50-90% of their time on the manufacturing floor working alongside another Quality Engineer on the team to resolve any issues.

1st focus is production: Understand daily issues, fire fighting and keep production up and running

2nd focus – Work hand in hand with factory managers (responsible for quality within each product line) to understand and support implementation of quality processes

Drive problem-solving/corrective action

Proactive implementation of processes / improvements

Support New Product Launches

Make rounds around each product/assembly line to understand how quality can be improved

Work alongside Factory Managers, Operators, Engineering, etc.

Participate in "1st Piece Check" to determine if part looks good, determine how could be improved and accept part to continue or make necessary changes
