Job Details:DESCRIPTION:We are offering a $5000 sign-on bonus ($2500 at the start and $2500 after 3 months of employment). This position pay is $40.33/hr. We currently have open position for first shift. This facility operates five days a week (maintenance includes rotating weekends) and produces Bosco Sticks and Pizza. POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the team directly involved with the operation and maintenance of the support systems for the manufacturing facility (ammonia refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam system and all related sub-systems). This position is trained as a member of the facility’s Hazmat Response Team and is required to meet the physical requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate and maintain ammonia systems for refrigeration and perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment, and make repairs as required to maintain proper food temperature according to USDA and company standards. Maintain ammonia evaporators and their control stations to ensure adequate temperatures in specific areas to meet USDA and company standards. Maintain ammonia condensers to ensure efficiency and liquid levels in the ammonia vessels remain at required points which completes the refrigeration cycle. Maintain boilers and steam controls to facilitate process, cooking, sanitation, processes based in USDA and production requirements. Conduct chemical testing to maintain appropriate levels in the water to allow optimum performance of equipment and to prevent scaling. Maintain ammonia vessels and liquid pumps to adequately supply ammonia or oil or both to the appropriate areas to ensure the required temperatures are achieved as required per USDA and company standards. Additional duties as assigned by managements. Must be flexible regarding work hours and schedule, overtime required. This person is responsible for overseeing hourly checks for all the ammonia systems including compressors, condensers, evaporators, re-circulators, and any piping and associated equipment are completed and documented correctly. Must be able to follow instructions both written and oral and must be able to communicate with management personnel. In addition to the ammonia systems, this person is responsible for air compressors, boilers, thermal fluid systems, HVAC systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, ice maker, and water chilling systems and reporting any ammonia leakages. Perform daily PM’s on the equipment and perform boiler tests and condenser treatment tests. Visually inspect all their assigned equipment on the roof and within the plant regularly. Develop a thorough knowledge of plant layout, tools, parts, and equipment. Maintain and monitor the ammonia refrigeration equipment within safety standards for the entire facility. Good math, reading and writing skills to properly monitor equipment, check, and record data. Working inside and outside of the facility as directed, exposed to weather elements outside, wet floors, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment repairs, moving objects, humid, noisy, cramped working quarters at times.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of (3) year of Ammonia Refrigeration work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be graduate of an Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration training program and 2 years documented Ammonia Refrigeration work experience.

Complete Tyson Level 1 through 4 Skills Training within one (18) months of being placed in the position.

Must be familiar with plant compressed air system and all water supply systems (Ex: Chill water, hot water, city water, and glycol systems).

Must be able to work in harsh environments for short periods of time (Ex: Heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc.).

Position requires the team member to move to different areas of the plant and deal with different temperatures and environment in accordance to where they are needed.

Must be capable to read, write, and use math skills in order to complete necessary paperwork.

Must be able to work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision.

Electrical controls, wiring, instrumentation & Troubleshooting skills

Pipe Fitting/Plumbing skills

Possess good communication skills (both written and orally).

Must be able to work weekends and overtime and take on call coverage.

Must be able to interpret drawings, schematics and be able to use tools as required.

Maintain entire ammonia system including valve gangs, evaporators, vessels, and compressors.

Maintain and monitor plant boiler systems.

Maintain and monitor plant HVAC systems.

Observe and record temperatures and pressures as required.

Collaborate with PSM coordinator to review written Process Safety Manual (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RPM) programs

Interface with CMMS system for PM completion and entering and completing work orders.

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally

Ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently

Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day

Ability to work in confined spaces, walk, climb, bend and stoop

Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling

Frequent overhead work

Temperature range form 40-75 degrees, wet/humid conditions

Basic math skills; percentages, fractions, and measurements

Ability to read prints and schematics

PSM knowledge preferred
