Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the conceptual design and review of the drawings before submission to the clients.Our salary range for this position is based on the market data, $90k to $100k per annum (range varies depending on experience and qualifications). Key Responsibilities:

Support the project detail design structure before submitting it to clients

Work with the Project Managers or Engineers in identifying the project risk and planning mitigation actions

Implement the best practices, code standards, and use of technology in the execution of designs/delivery

Provide weekly or monthly reports in the form of accurate and detailed reports

Partner with other groups and/or departments to pursue significant opportunities, as well as teaming with the Business Development Group to produce compelling and winning proposals

Maintain awareness of industry trends (such as related technology, and green design), educate staff, and modify practices

Utilize Computer-Aided Design software and other equipment to support project designs and plans, when necessary.

Lead the staff with a focus on developing talent and providing innovative and effective technical solutions and ensure the skills necessary for successful execution are available; ensure the overall development of our professionals.

Develop staff to improve skill levels, deliver services, and stay abreast of evolving needs in the marketplace.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

Required degree in Electrical Engineering

With Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or currently in the process of obtaining EIT certification

Minimum of four years experience in electrical engineering design

Preferred to have handled government and healthcare projects

Ability to identify process and design improvements

Has a team mindset that enables staff to work together towards a common goal

Must be eligible to apply for a secret clearance

Must be a US citizen and hold valid, current driver’s licenses

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Willing to travel to client site

Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
