Kim at the University of Michigan within the Department of Pathology and May H. Weiser Food Allergy Center. Successful candidates will become part of a highly productive and collaborative team of researchers in a modern, interconnected laboratory space. The positions will be funded from NIH research and training grants and institutional supports at the University of Michigan. Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.ResponsibilitiesPhD level research activities include literature search, critical thinking, designing and carrying out experiments, data management, writing papers, and maintaining research resources in the lab.Opportunities exist in the following research areas:
Mucosal and systemic immunology and allergic immune responses
Development, migration and effector functions of innate lymphoid cells
Roles of gut microbial metabolites in regulation of immunity, autoimmune diseases, and anti-cancer responses
Roles of retinoic acid in regulation of the immune system, focusing on T and DC regulation
Chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) as therapeutic tools for immunological disorders and cancer

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in life science areas
High productivity demonstrated in publication record (quality and quantity)
Strong commitment to Immunology research
Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are necessary.
Desired Qualifications
In vivo research experience with rodents and human tissues.
Experience with molecular biology and next generation sequencing analyses is preferred.
