Participates in patient /family education regarding disease process. Works cooperatively with all internal and external services to provide optimal patient care.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: Satisfactory completion of an accredited respiratory care associate degree program, the ability to meet both NBRT certification and registration requirements.Preferred/Optional: NoneEXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESMinimum Required: Basic computer skills.Preferred/Optional: One-year respiratory care experience preferable.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required: Applicable state Respiratory Therapist Licensure required. BCLS within one month of hire and NRP certification required within 3 months hire.Preferred/Optional: None
