Position:

SAP BW Consultant

Duration: 12+ months Contract Location: Detroit, MI or ATLANTA, GA (On-Site from Day 1)

Max rate is $60/hrs on W2 without Benefits

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business and IT to understand the business requirements for BW topics
Key role in the analysis, design, development and testing of SAP Business Warehouse applications as well as front end reports
Working within the business and other team members to build requirements and design functional specifications for the data warehouse and front end reports.
Maintain a clear understanding of the potential impacts of proposed solutions on the other areas of the system and/or project.
Implement and ensure adherence to guidelines to implementation, architecture guidelines and support standards
Specify security requirements and approaches to data for adherence
Define and promote best practice methodologies for the BI solutions
Ensure BW solutions are aligned with the major stakeholders for KPI standards and roadmap
Collaborate with the administration team for system maintenance and upgrade
Short travels on need basis to customer location

Technical Skills:

5-8 years of experience in data warehousing (BW7.x, BW4HANA, BWonHANA) and reporting solutions
Work experience in all three phases BW Reporting, Extraction and Modeling and should be individual contributor with at least 2 end to end implementations
Should have very strong experience in ABAP skills like Start, End, Expert and Field level Routines & Debugging skills whereever requires
Detailed knowledge in gathering requirements for BI reporting solutions including visualization
Involved in creating BEX report using different processing types, variables, customer exit, filter, condition & selection
Should carry out requirement gathering, and documents like high level / detailed technical design document and documentation of BI solutions
Good understanding of various BO tools and should be able to collaborate with BO consultants effectively
Intermediate knowledge on the database and integration tools (ORACLE, IBM etc.)
SAP certification in BW would be preferred
Interpersonal & Communication
Effective communication skills and knowledge to close communication gaps through proper channels
Excellent German verbal and written communication – ability to connect technical solutions to business need, problem solving skills
