School Social Worker (High School - Transition)

School Social Worker for the 2023-2024 school yearCaseload Details:

Students are between the ages of 15-26 years old

You will be full-time in ONE building

This is a center-based program

In this collaborative environment, you'll:

Provide assessment and consultation with Special Education Teachers to assist with social/emotional goal development and implementation, including creation of materials for classroom use and assist with transition plan and paperwork.

Provide daily assessment and consultation with staff regarding students' social skill expression and development, functional and adaptive behavior, in the school environment.

Collaborate and consult with professional staff to develop visual systems and in-home supports based on family's identified needs (sensory needs, visual schedules, communication opportunities, behavioral techniques).

Write goals and objectives of each IEP for students as needed.

Empower students through individual counseling, group sessions, and social-emotional learning initiatives.

Become an integral part of the school community, building positive relationships and fostering a supportive environment.

Must possess S310 form- Approval to work in MI schools

Previous school social work experience

Previous experience supporting students with ASD
