School Social Worker Part-Time

School Social Worker AnthroMed Education is a Special Education services provider right here in Illinois. We are committed to providing our School Social Workers with an enriching and fulfilling school year and beyond! We are currently seeking a Part-Time School Social Worker who wants to make an impact at a developing and team-oriented Public School in Lansing, IL beginning in January through the end of the school year in May. The selected Social Worker will provide their services and support 2 days a week, at an Elementary School. They will also work with another SSW in the building. We encourage all qualified and interested School Social Workers to apply. We look forward to speaking with you soon! Job Functions Include:

Ability to begin employment in January 2024 through the end of the school year in May.

Work at least 2 days a week (school is flexible on the days).

Support an Elementary School caseload.

Collaborate and support Teachers with SEL needs.

Works with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and schools.

Fulfills all the responsibilities of the IEP: timely and current progress monitoring, uses progress monitoring to guide instruction, etc.

Assesses, identifies, and provides clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance and/or behavioral concerns within the general and special education population.

Completes classroom observations and functional behavior assessments on identified students.

Participates in and contributes to a school culture that focuses on improved student learning.

Attends meetings and professional development activities as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

Endorsement in Social Work
