Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Service Desk Technician for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!

Title: Service Desk Technician

Location: Detroit, MI

Role Type: W2 contract engagement

Role Summary:The Service Desk Technician provides technical support at a technical service desk with a strong focus on first call resolution. The technician will field calls and handle desktop support problems that can be resolved remotely. The Service Desk technician must possess advanced knowledge in MS Office and other office productivity tools and be able to provide how-to instructions to end-users at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide first contact technical support to end-users via phone calls, emails and chat
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customer expectations
  • Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources when needed
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of tickets
  • Walk customers through problem solving process
  • Follow-up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Recommend procedure modifications or improvements
  • Preserve and grow knowledge of service desk procedures, products and services
  • Update and contribute to knowledge base articles
  • Mentor and share knowledge with other team members

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 12 months of experience working in a high volume help desk call center
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent Customer relationship skills with a track record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Expertise with entire Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel, Visio, Project and Access
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Adobe
  • Printer setup and configuration
  • Desktop and laptop software installation
  • Smartphone configuration and support a plus, Android, IOS
  • Service Now experience for ticketing system
  • Active directory experience
  • Office 365 experience
