Site Installation Supervisor II, Airport

General ResponsibilityThe Site Installation Supervisor is a self-managing, high energy individual who is responsible for mechanical  and general installation activities on-site for BEUMER system projects as assigned. This is a significant role providing key support for the project management team and will have on-going, direct contact with the customer. The Site Installation Supervisor coordinates the activities of contractors and workers engaged in the installation or modification of supplied equipment while ensuring that the highest quality of work is provided in the safest manner possible to meet project goals. Installation includes conveyors, integrated systems and third party or customer equipment on site. This role will be work and be based out of Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids (GRR).The Site Installation Supervisor role could be the lead on a site or part of a team with another lead.

Upon completion, the role will require travel to other domestic and international sites as needed. Candidates should anticipate travel commitments of up to 90% of the time thereafter to other Airport project sites.Leadership and TeamworkPromote safe and reliable construction and maintenance activities consistent with BEUMER objectives and policies, be in full compliance with existing and relevant emerging codes and regulations.Improve and follow the assigned project scope and contract work authorization details. Interface with others on the project to learn how job commitments are delivered on time and within budget.Document contractor crew activities, prepare and present periodic oral and written update reports and verify the accuracy of checksAssure QA’s on assigned jobs to ensure work is completed and accurate including NCC'sPrepare and maintain job box with required tools and hardware for shipment to and from job siteSupport the team leader or department manager with management tasksParticipate in kick off meetings and or job close out meetings  Day-to-day management of the mechanical installation while keeping the Project Manager and team up to dateDevelop and maintain an effective professional relationship with site and project personnel, serving as BEUMER’s on site representative for Customer and other subcontractorsFollow claims and change management processes and report all changes/deviations to change managementEnsure the BEUMER Group processes within the projectAssign tasks to workers and specify method of coordinating workflow to meet schedulesAlways promote and maintain a clean and inventoried site  while assuring all contractors and BEUMER personnel comply80-90% domestic and/or international travelPerform other related duties as assignedTechnical and QualityThis position will be required to attend and demonstrate comprehension of related training classes, both internal and external to the company, while applying the knowledge gained in real time project work.Support the supervision of Mechanical contractors, supervisors and departments to review drawings, RFQ's, and quality control checklistsSupport the preparation Mechanical installation RFQ's for BEUMER and all logistics projectsSupport the startup and commissioning of equipment including communication and safety circuitsSupport and review of Mechanical drawing packages prior to starting a projectGain the knowledge while ensuring the highest level of Mechanical installation qualityGain knowledge of layouts of equipment and accessing the BEUEMR drawingsSupport monitoring of entire Mechanical installations and respond as needed to ensure total customer satisfaction.Support resolution of Mechanical installation problems/failures and determines the timeliest resolution path to restore optimal performance. Coordinates with Engineering areas as needed (Mechanical, mechanical, software) and 3rd party vendors as needed to address system issues.Ensure all materials used and work performed are as per specificationsManage site logistics including handling of material to subcontractors. Source materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended projectSecure job site and company equipment in a safe and workmanlike mannerPerform other related duties as assignedCompensation range: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 Annually

The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.
