Job Description "Some openings may be remote positions where the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States." The Role We are looking for software developers with a strong passion for developing the software tools and the engineering process to enable a global software organization. The job will leverage SAFe Agile methods to develop solutions to develop integrations and compatibility between Rhapsody modeled content and vehicle software architectures, including AUTOSAR. We are part of the Global Product Development organization and work closely with our IT colleagues. The position requires developing software and modeling automations, supporting vehicle software development workflows. Responsibilities
- Position responsibilities include being either a Software Developer for an Agile Scrum team responsible for engineering software applications.
- Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major projects
- Develop, test and implement tool solutions that support the engineering organization
- Identity, Design, Requires workflow modifications with multiple business teams and business application extensions
- Lead development of software systems and software feature enhancements.
- Provide, communicate, and support consistent processes among software, requirement, and part release communities.
- Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform / application / workflow
- Lead development of software systems and software feature enhancements.
- Performs complex design analysis
- Debug and resolve tool and process issues
- Specifies and balances system requirements within engineering and IT environments.
- Develop and update process documents and training materials
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Demonstrated proficiency with programming language: Java
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Java developer with strong experience with Java Swing, Java SWT / Java AWT / Java FX
- Understanding of Automotive Embedded Systems
- Knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR methodologies.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Knowledge of IBM Rational Rhapsody
