Software Development Engineer, Selling Partner Services

DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help improve the communication experience of Amazon's Selling Partners. You will join an established agile team building cutting-edge distributed systems that scale to support millions of Selling Partners around the world. You will innovate on behalf of our customers and get to see the impact of your work first-hand. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years.Key job responsibilities

Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.

Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.

Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.

Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

About the teamThe SPACE team (Selling Partner Actionable Communication and Experience) owns an internal tool enabling Amazonian's to design, build, and launch multi-channel communication experiences with Amazon's Selling Partners. Amazon teams WW use our product to communicate critical information to Selling Partners via email, text, mobile push and more. We're working on increasing adoption of our product, and expanding functionality to build richer experiences.Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
