Description:This role is working for the Workplace Technology team within Corporate Staffs IT. This team is focused on employee software products such as the Return to Work software related to COVID, which was launched in April 2022. They are building out a team of 8 software developers to create a performance management network application. This application will allow mangers to effective manage team members, input and access yearly reviews, document feedback, provide training and integrate training resources to their employees. This is a brand new initiative and software that they will be building out and will connect to their HR systems internally, which are on Oracle HCM. This application will connect to the Oracle HCM database so knowledge of oracle or databases will be a nice to have.Overall Job:The client Staffs IT WorkTech Team seeks an individual ready to be on a full-stack software engineering team. You will be a part of a Lean, Agile, and eXtreme Programming (XP) team. We engage in paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methods daily. You will collaborate closely and continuously with fellow engineers, product owners, and multiple stakeholders. This is a highly visible position within the IT Staffs Team. We’re currently building out applications for the Return to Work project(s) with a Global Impact.Qualifications: Seeking an individual who is ready to start developing software on day 1. Experience building out microservice architectures including gateway, authentication, and config services. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins. Hosting solutions such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Zero downtime, blue-green deployment. Database schema management with h2 and Liquibase. Supporting migrations for updates and new data centers. OAuth and ADFS authentication. Integrating with third-party services such as LDAP, O365, and WebEx. Participate in all Agile ceremoniesOther Needs: BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Strong communication skills and interest in a paired-programming environment Passion for growing your skills, taking on exciting work and challenging problems Experience deploying to cloud environments a plus.
