Software Engineer - Top Secret

Job Description

• Active Top Secret security clearance, eligible for SCI
• BS Degree in Computer Science or related tech field, OR 5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree (i.e., 7+ years total experience w/out degree)
• 2+ years of recent programming experience in a professional environment
• Strong programming skills in C and Python
• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)

• Take algorithm definitions and prototypes and convert them into robust software applications that run efficiently on large images and are ready for operational environments.
• Apply software standards and processes to produce high quality, extensible, and maintainable software packages.
• Collaborating with our radar and research scientist experts to solve issues and iterate to improve image product quality.
• Build and improve on automated test and verification software and tools.
• Design robust software systems for integration of existing signal processing tools.
• Debug, refactor and reimplement existing software codebases into new systems and on new platforms
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance

• Other language skills: Java, scripting, or similar language
• Experience with formal software development methodologies (Agile)
• Experience writing software implementing algorithms
