We are currently seeking a Software Quality Engineer for our client in the IT Services and Consulting domain. Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: Northville, MI (Role will be onsite) Salary: $55.00/Hourly on W2 and $62.00/Hourly on C2C Role: Software Quality Engineer Primary Skills: Quality Assurance Role Description: The Software Quality Engineer must have at least 5+ years of experience. Top 3 Must Haves: - Software Quality - ASPICE - Embedded C and MATLAB Preferred Skills: - ASPICE and Software quality process Responsibilities: - Analyze the current process and define the end-to-end process for controller development for both application software and base software. - Provide a gap analysis report and recommended process documentation. - Define methodology for each step of the process from system engineering to validation, in discussion with the technical team. - Benchmark different tool chains and recommend the best suitable tools for System Engineering, Software Development, Validation (MIL, SIL, HIL), in discussion with the technical. - Check compliance with ASPICE process. If the client is already targeting or following any ASPICE level, the team would consider the same. - Check compliance with functional safety process. This will be generic process and based on the ASIL level of the product. The process steps and/or artifacts would be added/removed - Define quality gates for each step of the activity. - Define templates for each of the artifacts to be generated for each process step. E.g., System architecture document, software architecture document, software review report etc. - Support the client in developing work packages for potential support for external engineering services.
