Description Robert Half's trusted client is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant for a long-term engagement. This hybrid role located in Ann Arbor, Michigan and will report directly to the Controller. The role involves a range of accounting responsibilities, including managing sales revenue, fixed assets, accruals, and accounts payable. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the month and year-end close process and will also assist with internal and external reporting and audit requests.The day-to-day responsibilities include: Manage and oversee sales revenue, cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, accounts payable, leases, investments, and stock compensation. Support the month and year-end close process, including the preparation of workpapers, analysis, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Respond to internal or external reporting/ad-hoc requests as needed. Assist with audit requests, including internal SOX compliance, external, and 401K. Adhere to the goals and policies outlined in the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Foster an honest and respectful work environment. Communicate clearly and concisely, and work both independently and collaboratively with external and internal peers.Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skills set: Must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Must have experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries. Previous experience in performing Month End Close tasks is required. The candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is expected. Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Knowledge of Hi-Tech Engineering industry is a plus.
