Learn more about our award-winning organization by visiting stryker.comPosition Summary: Responsible for the most critical National IDN/ASC customers and lead a team that will manage the day-to-day contract and account management for these key accounts. They will oversee the team's performance and drive results through Corporate Supply Chain relationships within National IDNs & ASC's. They will also effectively engage with Strat and BU sales leaders across Stryker and will build collaborative strategies to support SYK goals of accelerating growth by BU, improving profitability and simplifying the customer experience within the key national IDN customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver on KPI/CS goals and metrics for National IDN/ASC customers 1a/1b.

Support the IDN team and others across Customer Solutions and Stryker in annual account planning for National IDN's & ASC's.

Support in the development of customer offers, contract solutions and complex negotiations for National IDN's & ASC's as required.

Assist the Vice President in IDN business strategy plus, assist in the establishment of National IDN/ASC coverage strategies, and business plans.

In partnership with Vice President, Contract Strategy, establish routine cadence of communication with the National GPO team to understand their contracting strategies and ensure alignment of IDN/ASC activities as they related to GPO contracts.

Ensure alignment to BU Portfolio initiatives as outlined by BU pricing and contracting strategies defined annually and updated quarterly.

Make recommendations regarding critical National IDN/ASC customers.

Identify trends and gaps that have the potential to affect other National IDN/ASC's and escalate any actions plans to the Vice President, Contract Strategy for action across CS

Collaborate in the development and implementation of KPI metrics and measurement tools.

Complete monthly reports as specified by the Vice President, Contract Management.

Attend SYK meetings, trade shows and industry events as necessary

Complete Annual Performance Reviews for the National IDN/ASC team.

Initiate needed/required team training and personal development to increase skills, knowledge and capabilities needed to be consistent with the evolving healthcare marketing landscape.

Recruit, train and retain key team members to ensure their annual goals are met, while building paths for team members to promotion and future job growth

Proactively manage department expenses to pre-determined annual budgets

Education and Special Training

Reimbursement knowledge and education for Acute Care, Outpatient, and ASC Markets. Understanding of IPG relationship for ASC Market.

In-depth knowledge and experience of the Orthopedic Vertical

Qualification and Experience

Minimum of 5 years in medical device sales and/or marketing roles

12+ total years of industry experience with historical success working cross-divisionally and collaboratively

Demonstrated performance in people management and/or equivalent leadership positions. Ability to build trust to establish relationships in the IDN/ASC Market.

Access to upper-level administrative and IDN/ASC supply chain relationships, as well as prior experience with complex hospital customers including regional collaboratives, specific IDN/ASC's or specific BU strategic sales experience (either MSNT or Ortho/Spine

Must understand medical device markets (IDN/ASC), medical surgical, including disposables, capital equipment and implantable products to include joint replacement, robotics, and fracture management.

Must have excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment to prioritize effectively. Listen first with curiosity attributes.

Must be able to work with clinical and business personnel, both internal and external to Stryker

Must be able to analyze and resolve issues using independent judgment

Must be able to work well independently and without direct supervision

Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines, and procedures and execute on strategy

Must be able to communicate concisely telephonically text and via email

Required proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
