Sr. QA Analyst (Automation Tester)Hybrid Location – 2-3 days per week required on-site in Troy, MI

Job Description:Senior Quality Assurance Analyst or Lead sought for testing digital banking software. This person will be responsible for test strategies, plans, coordination and execution of all regression and validation tests associated with conversion to new online banking systems.

This person will:
  • Manage and execute test cases and summarize test results with management reporting using standard Jira and Zephyr software packages.
  • Write, maintain, execute and potentially automate software tests related to browser and mobility testing.
  • Work with business to develop User Acceptance testing criteria to confirm the delivery of changes occurs with the highest possible quality. This could involve teaching others how to write, develop and execute tests and sharing testing and results virtually.

Skills required:
  • Excellent knowledge in software quality assurance and system testing tools, such as Jira and Zephyr
  • Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally and in technical writing to all levels of the organization in a proactive, contextually appropriate manner
  • Ability to translate technical and business requirements into test strategy, scenarios and cases
  • Proven strength in building, writing, and executing test cases Able to understand impacts to tests and timelines based on conversations and emails shared

Experience needed:
  • 5+ years of experience in quality analysis or other analytic role, with reporting and leadership qualities exhibited
  • 3 years of experience with software development methodologies (i.e. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.), software application rollouts and software process improvement methods
  • Proficient in IT standards, policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply root cause analysis
  • Strong communication skills both to lead and to understand IT conversations and impacts for quality work

Preferred background:
  • 2+ years automating testing scripts preferred; automation will be used as possible during execution iterations and post conversion.
  • Prefer 3 years with mobile products and/or browser testing
  • Experience with banking industry and online banking software
  • Experience with system migrations and conversions
  • Previous hands on experience with Selenium and/or JUnit is preferred
  • Strong experience with web services, executing calls and interpreting responses (SOAP and REST)
  • U.S. based candidates required.
