Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry. Located in HASTINGS, Michigan, you will be part of our team, performing a range of accounting functions and preparing daily and weekly reports. Responsibilities: Prepare and manage daily and weekly accounting reports Verify documentation and request disbursements for payments Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable Investigate and report on banking transactions Resolve complex processing problems and respond to inquiries Contact customers for collection of delinquent accounts receivable Manage fixed assets accounting Assist in month end closing procedures Prepare ad hoc reports as needed Foster a culture that promotes safety in the workplace.Skills: Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger operations Ability to prepare Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in ERP systems including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position within the manufacturing industry Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing Experience in executing Bank Reconciliations is mandatory Familiarity with General Ledger management is required The ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries is necessary Must be capable of performing Month End Close procedures Proficiency in NetSuite is desirable Knowledge of Oracle financial software is an advantage Prior experience with QuickBooks is beneficial SAP software expertise is preferred.
