About this Position: This position will assist Emergency Management staff with routine office duties relating to emergency preparedness activities. This position will assist with a variety of emergency management projects including supporting training and exercise planning and execution, organizing and validating training records, and digitizing and organizing historical emergency plans and exercise files. This student will gain skills in and exposure to emergency management, including obtaining basic training in the National Incident Management System and Incident Command System, participating on planning teams for intra and inter-departmental projects, exercises, and events, and attending emergency preparedness trainings and exercises. This student may obtain emergency management experience through assisting during emergency exercises or real emergencies in an assistant, scribe, or shadowing role.
