Supervise Maintenance Technicians to maximize customer satisfaction through network integrity and reliability. Oversee demand and preventative maintenance activities. Ensure adherence to company safety requirements. Responsible for the hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation of team.Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians to meet customer expectations, technical quality and safety standards, and employee productivity; may supervise contractors as business needs dictateActively support all efforts to optimize network performance and reliability to ensure continuous customer satisfactionEnsure responsiveness and first time resolution of line problem escalation work orders, while adhering to company quality and safety standardsRegularly observe and mentor employees regarding safety, quality, productivity and individual growthCoordinate and reinforce employee training to ensure current Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards are met, and ensure employees are prepared as new technologies/tools are deployedPerform practical field evaluations to verify technical competencies and safe practices; provide necessary feedbackEnsure staff has and maintains necessary company-issued tools and equipmentMonitor current procedures and tests performed to ensure compliance with FCC standardsPlan, implement and successfully complete small projects including: annual FCC testing, plant relocation projects, preventative maintenance programs, emergency restoration, etc.Facilitate cross-functional communications and cooperation with Headend Inside Plant Operations, Construction, ROC and other internal departments as neededEffectively interface with third party vendorsOperate Company vehicle in a safe and responsible mannerAdhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicableInstill knowledge of all company products and servicesMaintain records and documents in accordance with company policies and proceduresEstablish positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing supportKnow, understand and follow company policy Perform other duties as requested by managerPerform other duties as requested by managerRequired Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishBasic knowledge using software tools to support the current operationsKnowledge in basic network devices and network appliancesAdvanced knowledge of HFC Distribution NetworkModerate knowledge of IP NetworksModerate knowledge of Headend operation and Customer Premise NetworkBasic knowledge of Company products and servicesAbility to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible mannerAbility to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilitiesAbility to work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weatherAbility to operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with position (e.g. RF and Optical test equipment)Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standardsRequired EducationAssociate’s degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent work experience Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)Required Related Work Experience and Number of YearsConstruction and/or maintenance of optical and coax distribution networks or equivalent work experience - 4Supervisory experience in a technical environment or equivalent work experience preferred - 1#LI-KM1TMN404 2024-39510 2024Here, employees don’t just have jobs, they build careers.
