DescriptionPosition Summary:The Supervisor of Wound and Restorative Care is responsible for quality care for Wound and Restorative Serivces of residents, and supervision of staff.Primary Responsibilities:Daily supervises staff
Educate staff and residents of best practice in wound care.
Monitor potential residents identified at risk for skin breakdown.
Complies with physician's orders by completing dressings and treatment.
Implements the responsibilities of the Braden Scale.
Responsible for thorough and accurate documentation on resident charts and completion of skin and wound assessments in a timely manner.
Reviews and ensures completion of monthly summary on each resident receiving restorative services.
Approves abd maintains restorative care plans
Monthly resident assessment of continued need of restorative services.
Care conference attendance needed.
QualificationsRequired:Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
Two years experience in appropriate clinical setting
Current Registered Nurse Licensure in State of Michigan required
Preferred:Previous management/charge nurse experience
