- Execute system safety activities for assigned projects related to Electric Power Steering
- Develop safety requirements at multiple levels, including Dynamic Platform
- Execute Safety Analysis such as FTA, FMEDA, and FMEA
- Develop, document, and execute bench and vehicle test procedures including fault injection testing
- Perform vehicle level safety testing to comprehend safety goal and hazard analysis risk assessment items
- Compile safety case and create safety case reports for EPS and SbW (Steer by Wire) and AV (Autonomous Steering)
- Collaborate with senior safety engineer(s) to assess impact of single and dual point faults
- Assess PMHF (probabilistic metric for hardware failure) for assigned programs
- Assess SPFM (single point fault metric) for assigned programs
- Asses LFM (latent fault metric) and related impact for assigned programs
- 2+ years’ experience in automotive safety, electronics, or embedded software
- Knowledge of automotive engineering and chassis systems
- Understanding and application of ISO26262, IEC 61508 or similar
- Computer skills, especially in spreadsheets and simulation tool
- Familiarity with automotive embedded systems, hardware, and/or software
- Excellent organization and documentation abilities
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with people
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Major in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of project management processes and tools
- Knowledge of HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment)
- Awareness of FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) tools
- Familiarity with failure analysis
