Relocate to Fort Worth, TX, or Merrimack, NH. This position is for a Systems Engineering Technical Lead for Active Protection Systems (APS) in the Ground Combat Systems portfolio at Elbit Systems of America.  This person will lead our engineering teams to capture and execute APS contracts with the US Department of Defense, integrating existing solutions from our Affiliate companies with US-unique capabilities developed in-house. This position will be based in Ft. Worth, TX, with Merrimack, NH being an alternate option. Reports directly to the Engineering Director of Ground Combat Systems, in the Integrated Solutions division. 30-40% travel is expected for this role. ResponsibilitiesAct as the technical leader for all APS capture efforts, proposals and contractsManage the engineering cost and schedule goals of these projectsReview, develop, and document system level requirements, CONOPS, and mission statements.Work with all Technical functions to develop and document product roadmaps and plans that meet technical, cost and schedule goals.Perform requirements management, system modeling, analysis, and allocations on complex systems design.Produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standardsLead the creation of a classified Systems Integration Lab (SIL) for integrating and testing APS productsLead system integration efforts including hands-on integration of APS systemsPlan verification and validation activities for complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirementsPrepare and/or deliver technical presentations to customers, ElbitAmerica Management or development teamsProvide regular and clear communication to customers, ElbitAmerica affiliates, government officials, and other contractors as requiredPerform workforce planning and resource allocation in coordination with Engineering Functional Leadership, Engineering Business Unit Leads and Human ResourcesDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships within Elbit America and affiliatesLead proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating, and presentation activitiesOther related duties assigned by supervisor.CapabilitiesProvide coaching, mentorship and technical leadership to the Systems Engineering teamEffectively record and communicate designs, results, reports, and presentationsResearch, conceptualize, and evaluate complex system architectures and product designs, recommend design modifications to improve product performance, cost, reliability, and development schedule (can be activity lead or in supporting role)Work independently and with internal/external organizationsFully understand internal systems engineering procedures and systems engineering best practices
