Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

• Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined and be accountable for projects scope, budget, resources and timeline
• Translate roadmap planning into detailed tasks and ensure requirements are understood, deliverables are within timelines, and projects meet defined quality standards
• Recommend and develop project specific agile workflows that are aligned with company wide guidelines and implement these workflows inside the working tools
• Plan, implement and track core platform development activity across the SDLC from requirements gathering to versioning and deployment
• Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various technical personnel during all project phases, from initial project plan through implementation
• Oversee resourcing to meet team capacity against project deliverables and allocate tasks accordingly in collaboration with team members, customers and managers
• Monitor and update project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items following agile methodology best practices
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
• Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes
• Participate in peer review and sign-off of others’ work
• Support development teams when deploying and in investigating and fixing issues
• Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news
• Update regularly and appropriately on plans, updates and risks

• Minimum five years professional project management experience
• This person should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills
• Experience in cloud-based software deployment (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and tools
• Advanced knowledge of project management software configuration and administration (Confluence, Jira, BigPicture, BitBucket and others)
• Programming experience - a big plus
• Understanding of microservices-based software architecture

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
• Master’s in computer science or related degree or equivalent experience - a plus
• PMP Certification – preferred
• Scrum Master Certification - preferred
