DTS is looking for Test Automation Engineer/Developer for our direct client Position in Lansing, MI.

Role Description: The Developer is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts. The Developer will utilize a variety of tools and scripting languages to create high quality, reusable automated test scripts that can be utilized in multiple environments. This person should possess a strong foundational understanding of troubleshooting script failures and anomalies, development principles, processes, and methods.

Skills:
  • Development experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) language – required 3 years
  • Working within the SDLC – required 2 years
  • Experience with creating and maintaining databases such as MySQL – required 2 years
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems – Required 5 years
  • Ability to document and adhere to design process – Required 2 years
  • Ability to follow documented instructions without assistance – Required 2 years
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team and lead about status and issues – required 5 years

Responsibilities:
  • Use OOP, database, and automation test tools to develop and maintain automated test artifacts.
  • Develop and execute automated functional test scripts.
  • Capture, analyze, and report test results.
  • Log and track defects to resolution.
  • Maintain automation script repository.
  • Contribute to work estimates as necessary.
  • Execute data management plan activities.
  • Consistently provide high quality analysis of script failures and anomalies.
  • Seek and share ways to improve test processes via the use of automation.
  • Maintaining and contributing to script to functionality mapping to ensure coverage.
  • Documenting updates and additions to the automation process.
