Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.• This position requires an employee to be onsite monthly.

Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service deliverable readiness of every General Motors vehicle globally. These include service part release, service information, labor time guide, service part catalogue, diagnostic software, service programming, pre-delivery inspection forms, customer service information and special tools.

Major Duties & Responsibilities include:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to train the team members on their basic job duties using a wide variety of training methods and work closely with management to ensure all personnel are trained and developed appropriately. You will also:• Draw an overall training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations and conduct effective induction and orientation sessions• Report Training data and trends to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify any opportunities for improvement.• Represent communications on behalf of the training development team.• Collaborate with teams to address any training gaps.• Review existing training to suggests and develop enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization.

Additional Job Description:

Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in education or human resources or equivalent experience• A minimum of 2+ years facilitating training• Experience developing e-learnings, training material utilizing SharePoint, Camtasia, Degreed or other tools• Highly proficient in presentation development and the use of Microsoft Office products• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)• Excellent oral and written communication skills• The ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences in a variety of methods• A strong commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access to create and foster a respectful, inclusive, and empathetic culture• Skilled at working effectively with others at all levels of the organization and across global regions• Ability to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative way: listening to others input, values outside perspectives, continuously seeking feedback• Capability of managing a variety of responsibilities simultaneously• Self-starter that can work independently and as a member of a team• Demonstrated accountability for results• Desire to seek out an learn new applications/software available to enhance current training and processes Preferred Qualifications:• Automotive service practices and procedures• Hands on experience in automotive diagnosis and repair• Manufacturing or vehicle engineering experience• Knowledge of electric vehicles
