Major Duties and Responsibilities:Customer ServiceExecute shipment requests for customersSource capacity with approved service providersCommunicate effectively and timely with customers, vendors, and internal Expeditors network through high volume of email, phone, instant message, and in personMonitor and action email boxes daily (personal and shared boxes)Ensure that all correspondence internal and external is uploaded into the document imaging system and labeled correctlyResponsible for notifications of shipment status to customersDelay updatesEnsure accurate and timely EDI communication to customers and service providersMaintain strong relationships with customers and service providersOperationsResponsible for the management of accurate and timely data entry into the operating system Internal3rd PartyTrack and Trace shipments as required via externally and internally sourcesEvent Code ManagementAssist with booking amendments with carriers if requested by the customerResponsible for freight routing deviations and communication once the cargo is in transitEnsure accurate and timely POD’s are received and imaged into the document imaging systemUnderstand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiencyMeet key performance indicators in support of department, branch, product and company goals
